1. Introduction

RankedIn ("we", "us", or "our") is a career analytics platform that helps professionals understand and improve their LinkedIn presence. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By using RankedIn at rankedin.app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• LinkedIn data export (ZIP file): When you upload your LinkedIn data export, we process the ZIP file server-side to calculate career scores and generate insights. The raw ZIP file is deleted from our servers immediately after processing. We store only the derived metrics and analysis results.
• Account information: When you sign up via email, we store your email address and a hashed password. When you sign up via Google or LinkedIn OAuth, we receive and store your name, email address, and profile picture from those providers.
• Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, used solely for security monitoring and improving the service.
• Email preferences: We store your notification preferences (e.g. whether you have opted out of monthly reminders or health alerts).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate your LinkedIn career scores, network analysis, and AI-powered insights
• To send you analysis completion emails and optional monthly re-analysis reminders
• To send network health alerts if your scores drop significantly (opt-in)
• To provide peer benchmarking by comparing anonymised metrics across users in the same industry or role
• To improve the platform and diagnose technical issues

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Retention

• Raw ZIP files: Deleted from storage immediately after your analysis is processed (within seconds of upload).
• Analysis results and metrics: Retained until you delete your account.
• Account data: Retained until you delete your account. Upon deletion, all your analyses, connections, goals, and profile data are permanently removed.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate RankedIn:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (EU/US)
• Vercel — hosting and serverless compute
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Google Gemini AI — generating AI-powered career insights from your anonymised metrics
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in via Google account
• LinkedIn OAuth — optional sign-in via LinkedIn account

Each provider has its own privacy policy. Your raw LinkedIn data is never shared with any third-party service — only derived, anonymised metrics are used for AI insight generation.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your analyses and scores at any time from your dashboard.
• Deletion: You can delete your account from the Settings page. This permanently removes all your data.
• Email opt-out: Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also manage preferences from the Settings page.
• Data portability: Contact us at the email below to request a copy of your stored data.
