An honest view is what we want

You do not need to upload your LinkedIn data to apply. We are not asking for positive reviews or public endorsements, and applying does not commit you to promoting anything. Tell us what worked, what didn't, and what would make rankedin more useful to the people you know.

Questions

Is this a paid opportunity?

The current host role is paid: selected hosts receive three-month contracts as independent contractors. Compensation is discussed with shortlisted candidates and set out in the contract before any work begins.

How much time is required?

For the current paid host role, approximately 15 hours per month over an initial three-month contract. The exact schedule is agreed with each host.

Which countries are eligible?

We are recruiting in selected international markets, and availability depends on where we are building communities and whether we can contract with you where you live. You are welcome to apply from anywhere; we will tell you if your location is not part of this round.

Do I need 10,000 followers?

No. 10,000+ followers on at least one relevant platform is preferred, not required. An engaged audience and strong ideas matter more than a single number.

Must I try rankedin before applying?

We strongly encourage it, because your application is stronger when it is based on your own experience. You do not need to upload your LinkedIn data to apply, and you are welcome to tell us about limitations, privacy concerns or improvements.

Do I need to organize in-person events?

No. Virtual events are fine. In-person events are welcome where they make sense for your community.

What happens after I apply?

We review every application. Selected candidates are invited to an interview. If we cannot move forward with your application, we will let you know.

Is this employment or contract work?

The current paid host role is contract work. Hosts in that role are independent contractors, not employees, and are responsible for their own taxes and business obligations where they live. The terms are set out in a written agreement.
