Getting started with a LinkedIn data export
In LinkedIn, go to Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Get a copy of your data, request the archive, and wait for LinkedIn to email you the download link. Upload that ZIP to RankedIn exactly as LinkedIn produced it — unzipping it, renaming files, or uploading a single CSV will fail validation.
Upload and analysis status
After upload we validate the ZIP, parse it, and score your profile. This normally takes a few minutes, and we email you when it is ready. If an analysis sits unfinished, or finishes with sections missing, send us the email address on the account and roughly when you uploaded — that is enough for us to locate the run.
Understanding scores and recommendations
Every score has a “How is this calculated?” explanation next to it in the app, covering each dimension and your AI Resilience Score. Scores describe the export you uploaded, as at the date LinkedIn generated it — they are a point-in-time snapshot, not a live reading of your profile.
Using RankedIn with ChatGPT or Claude
RankedIn offers a REST API and an MCP server so an AI assistant can read your own RankedIn data on your behalf. Access is read-only and scoped to your account, and you can revoke it at any time from your account settings. Setup steps and the current tool list are in the documentation.
Privacy and data handling
Your export is yours. We process it to produce your analysis, we do not sell your personal data, and your analysis is private to your account unless you explicitly choose to share it. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Account access and password help
If you signed up with Google or LinkedIn, use that same button to sign back in — a password reset will not help, because the account has no password of its own. For email-and-password accounts, use the reset link on the sign-in page. If a reset email never arrives, check spam first, then contact us.
What RankedIn does and does not do
RankedIn reads the LinkedIn data export that you download and upload yourself. That is its only source of LinkedIn data.
- It has no live connection to LinkedIn and does not scrape LinkedIn.
- It never posts, messages, connects, applies, or takes any other action on your LinkedIn account.
- It does not search or apply for jobs on your behalf.
- It does not publish your connections or make them visible to other people.
Because everything is derived from a file you supply, your results describe your network as at the date LinkedIn generated that export.
